Although most users have not had any difficulty with TypeStyler 3.7.2 running in classic I have heard of users getting an "Incorrect Installation" error. What appears to be happening is that the Shape Library is being corrupted when TypeStyler closes, when we do the integrity check on the next launch the damaged library is not read and therefore gives the incorrect installation message. All our efforts are being put towards the release of the OS X version of TypeStyler this won't be addressed until TypeStyler for OS X is released. If you have this issue I would suggest throwing away the damaged installation and doing a fresh install of TypeStyler 3, then before you run it for the first time create a duplicate of the Shape Library within the "TypeStyler Libraries" folder and keep it pristine outside of the TypeStyler Libraries folder. If you get the error message again just take a copy of the pristine Shape Library, making sure the name is Shape Library (the Option-drag method works best) and put it into the working TypeStyler Libraries folder thereby replacing the damaged Library. If you don't have the installer available you can download just the new Shape Library at: typestyler.com/download/ShapeLibrary.hqx Again, make sure that the file is named Shape Library. You
will want to make sure you keep a pristine copy of this in case
it happens again. |
